Split duty is regulated differently by the countries' authorities. So it's hard to find a good solution for all users.
EU-Ops (basic) lets you use Split duty. You'll have to manually enter your country's max flight duty period once.
This is a very basic solution which does not calculat any WOCL-deductions. It treats the time you entered as a flat-rate.
For the calculation of max flight duty period it is not relevant when you actually go onblocks. The purpose is to find out how long you COULD go. and that time might be in the WOCL, depending on when you reported for duty. Add 13 (14) hours to your checkin time and you'll see...
In this example, a checkin time of 14:00 LT is used, max 2 legs, not extended.
13 hours standard FDP would end at 3:00, one hour into the WOCL. So now if you reduce by 50% of your time in WOCL, you'd get 12:30 Max FDP.
Now, if you use those full 12:30 hours and go onblocks at 2:30, you have actually flown only 30 minutes into the WOCL. So only 15 minutes should be deducted, giving you latest onblocks of 02:45. You could have flown 15 more minutes. But then of course you'd have to deduct 50% of those 45 minutes.
This goes back and forth until it meets at 2:40 latest onblocks. Those 40 minutes actually in the WOCL give you 20 minutes deduction, which is 2:40 latest onblocks.
To calculate this in your head, always take only 1/3 of your time in WOCL off, and you get the correct latest O/B.
Makes any sense?
No, sorry. This is for iPhone/iPod/iPad touch only. Other platforms are not planned.
You can either purchase the basic version "EU-Ops" for a lower price on the app store. It supports EU-Ops calculations only. Or you may send us your company's regulations (MTV) so we can check if support is possible soon.
Please send an email to
Some airlines will not be included, because their regulations regarding daily flightduty and resttimes are too close to EU-Ops. No sense in selling you a program that gives the same result twice. If that's the case for you, please use the app "EU-Ops" (basic).
Generally all cabin crew members (whithin the EU) may purchase the basic version "EU-Ops". These regulations are valid for you too. You may also send in your company's cabin regulations (MTV) and we will check for support.
If your cabin agreement is supported, you'll find it specified as "cabin" under our list of airlines.
Lufthansa Cabin is supported now in EU-Ops vs. MTV.
No. But you should try our new app "Duty and Rest". This App does not know any country's regulations. It let's you define your own max Dutytimes/Resttimes.
